TellHound is operated by an independent business. Full legal entity and registered address details are available on request from [email protected], and appear on every invoice issued by our merchant of record.
1. What TellHound does
TellHound monitors AWS accounts you connect to it and reports cost and reliability findings. You grant access by deploying a CloudFormation template in your own AWS account, which creates a read-only IAM role restricted by an ExternalId unique to your connection.
We never ask for, and cannot accept, AWS access keys. You can revoke our access at any time by deleting that role or its CloudFormation stack, without telling us first. Doing so stops all collection immediately.
2. What we can and cannot see
The role grants read access to configuration and CloudWatch metrics. It does not grant access to the contents of your S3 buckets, your databases, your application data, or your customers' personal data. The exact permissions are visible in the template before you deploy it, and we encourage you to read it.
We do not modify anything in your account. Every recommendation we make is a recommendation for you to act on.
3. Your account
You must give an accurate email address and confirm it before connecting an AWS account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe it has been accessed by someone else.
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter a contract.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- connect an AWS account you are not authorised to grant access to;
- attempt to access another customer's data;
- probe, scan or load-test the service without written permission;
- resell or white-label the service without an agreement with us.
Connecting an account you do not control is the one thing here we treat as immediately terminable, because it means we are reading someone else's infrastructure.
5. Trial
New accounts get a 14-day trial with no card required. When it ends, your data and your existing views remain, but you cannot add AWS accounts and alerting stops until you subscribe. We do not delete your history because a trial expired.
6. Payment
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd, who is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles all customer service enquiries relating to billing, and issues your invoice.
Plans are billed monthly in advance in USD. Taxes are determined and collected by Paddle based on your location. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal; continuing to use the service after that is acceptance of the new price.

7. Availability
We do not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee, and we would rather say that plainly than publish a number we cannot yet stand behind. We aim for continuous availability and will tell you about planned maintenance that affects collection.
TellHound is not a substitute for your own alarms. If an alert from us fails to fire, the underlying problem is still yours to handle. Treat us as an additional pair of eyes, not the only one.
8. Accuracy of findings
Findings are generated from your metrics and configuration using rules we wrote. They are opinions, not certainties. A finding may be wrong, and the absence of a finding does not mean nothing is wrong. Read the evidence we show alongside each one, and apply judgement before changing production infrastructure.
9. Ending the agreement
You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for. You can delete a connection at any point, which purges its stored metrics, resources and findings.
We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, and we will tell you why unless doing so would be unlawful.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data, or for an outage in your own infrastructure that we did or did not warn you about.
The service is provided "as is" apart from warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.

The governing law is that of the jurisdiction in which the operating entity is established; the details are available on request from [email protected].
